Comedian Kwak Han-goo was caught stealing a car for the second time in eight months, police said Saturday.
The 28-year-old faces imprisonment since he committed the crime while his jail term for the previous case is being suspended, police said.According to the Ansan Police Agency, Kwak stole a car on display at a used-car dealership in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.
Police said he snuck into the shop in Ansan at around 5 a.m. Friday and drove out a Hummer H3 valued at $23,000.
The shop's owner used CCTV footage to pick Kwak out as the primary suspect and the suspect was nabbed at a police checkpoint in the city at 9:40 p.m. the same day, police said. "He confessed to stealing the car," said a police officer. "I just wanted to sit behind the wheel of the car," the officer quoted Kwak as saying.The officer said an arrest warrant is being sought, adding: "The comedian will face tougher punishment than those involved in similar cases since the crime took place during the suspended jail term."A court will soon question Kwak to decide whether to issue the warrant.( Read more... )Source: The Korea Times | |

In order to do a bigger promotion to boost Japanese Market, Warner Music needs the boys to stay there for 5 months for more activities like fanmeeting, magazine, interviews, short concert etc. III. Closely following their track Thrill Love for the drama Hungry Romeo, Luxury Juliet, girl group f(x) will sing the title song I Love You, I Love You for the OST of MBC’s new sitcom 100% Charming the More I Look. This new sitcom will replace MBC’s sitcom High Kick Through the Roof; its first episode will air on March 22nd. The sitcom’s new title song, I Love You, I Love You will feature the voices of f(x) members Victoria, Krystal, Amber, Sulli and Luna. It is a song that well incorporates the energetic voices of an idol group, along with pianist Choi Tae Wan’s water flowing like playing and guitarist Hong Jun Ho’s country rock style playing cross-over in the background, that creates a distinct charismatic sound.  "Liar Game: The Final Stage" crossed the one million viewers mark today. Actress Toda Erika (21), actor Matsuda Shota (24) and director Matsuyama Hiroaki (36) went out to celebrate the success at the Shibutoh Cine Tower in Tokyo. "I'm extremely happy," Toda stated on stage. Following the domestic success, the movie has been confirmed to open in six other Asian regions – Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. "I've never imagined it to advance into overseas markets, but I'm looking forward to see how they like it," Toda was delighted after hearing such wonderful news. The biggest room of Shibutoh has a total of 749 seats and it unsurprisingly was sold out for the event today. Every moviegoer had to hand over their "written invitations" as used in the actual series. The millionth entrant also received a parka signed by Toda and Matsuda.  Korean actor Lee Byung-hun has been cleared of illegal gambling charges filed against him last year by his former girlfriend.
The Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office ruled Friday that "there is no evidence" Lee had been involved in habitual gambling overseas, an allegation made early December by the Korean-Canadian woman identified only by her last name Kwon.A legal dispute between the two fired up when Kwon lodged a complaint to court saying she was allured into having a sexual relationship with the actor on his false promises of marriage and demanded she be compensated for physical and psychological damage she suffered. She also accused the actor of gambling while on shoots overseas and distributed a photograph of the two of when they were a couple to backup her claims.
